Learn to paint with pigmented beeswax, a very rich and polyvalant medium. The workshops will include the formulas for making the paint, adhesion by heating and diverse applications. One can paint, reheat, remove, scratch and play endlessly with this very flexible medium without waiting for the long drying hours needed for oil paint. Once familiar with the technique the possibilities are as diverse as the artists today...the surfaces can be smooth, textural, thick, transparent and even sculptural.

The SPONTANEOUS PAINTING workshops are designed to move you out of your habitual way of painting by shifting you from your thinking mind into your heart center. The brain has two sides where the heart has no division. In1979 we learned of "Drawing from the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards, as an evolution we are being called to direct ourselves from the heart. Many ancient cultures believed that the MIND was actually in the heart chakra. Imagine creating visionary art from a place that has no boundaries, connected to everything, OUTSIDE OF THE BOX. This is the light experience of flowing and perceiving from the heart.
We will do a number of exercises to help you shake things up and re-direct your method of artistic creation. I began this process myself after several shamanic journeys which have opened me to different ways of perceiving and trusting the creative energy flowing through me. Since then I have entirely changed my style and method of painting. Currently, I am discovering the practice of sacred geometry which is further shifting my modes of perception.
Allowing the spontaneous flow of material and notion, my paintings are much more alive and closer to my natural self.
Leave the rules behind and start responding to the true creative self. ITS SO MUCH MORE FUN AND FULFILLING.
You are welcome to bring your own art materials and/ or use materials that I will supply. I will offer goauche, watercolor medium, oil crayons, charcoal sticks, natural pigments and collage materials.
